What The Bible Says:

Lord, I will give thanks to you with all my heart.

I will tell about all the wonderful things you have done.

Psalm 9 verse 1

Ponder:

We always say thank you for good things....or if we don't, we should!

Some of us might write or draw a thankyou letter.

Sometimes we might give some chocolate if someone has done something really nice for us.

It’s good to be thankful. Especially for all the things God has given us or helped us with.

Someone once said that the best way to stop being grumpy is to start being thankful, and to be thankful for something everyday!

What are you thankful for?

A person, food, a pet, where you live, something you’ve done? Maybe an answer to something you prayed about?

Pray:

With the small square of paper you can do what whatever you want to do that helps you say thankyou. We have some suggestions below, but you could even scribble on the paper, because God can read scribble too!

A plain white square of paper that looks creased in parts.
Another scrunched piece of paper with a bear drawn on it
A scrunched piece of paper with

Once you've scrunched the paper up into a small ball, use the tissue paper or an old sweet wrapper to wrap around the ball of paper and make it look like a sweet .

Drop the prayer sweet into a jar or bowl and pray your thankyou prayer.

If you want to do more:

Why not decorate your thank your jar or bowl, and then use it every time there is something you are thankful for. See how quickly you can fill it up with thank yous!
If you are having a sad or grumpy day, why not tip the prayer sweets out and open some up to remind yourself about how good God is.
