Book Reviews

Book Reviews (and all the ways you can 'read' them)

If you have children with additional needs, finding books in the right formats can be really hard. The breadth of additional needs and disability can be very wide, therefore children will need different things depending on their circumstances, interests and the type of accessibility they need.

So, I'm going to be reviewing some!

These won't ones specifically published for children with additional needs, but just great books that could be useful.

We all know that 'universal design' to make things accessible for many is rare in publishing, therefore, I'll be commenting on: Visual accessibility, understandable language and then general appearance. I'll also suggest who would find the books accessible, how use them to full affect and if there are electronic and audible versions available.

There will be a few other things of note I may well comment on too!

To access the reviews, just hover your cursor over 'Book Reviews' on the menu bar above and click on the one you want to see. (This is a new feature - so bear with us as we write them).

If you'd like to suggest a book to review - or even write a review for us, just contact us via the contact us page and tell us which book.
