From the Bible
Dear children, I’m writing to you because your sins have been forgiven.
They have been forgiven because of what Jesus has done.
From 1 John chapter 2 verse 12
We are forgiven!
When we say sorry and mean it, God forgives. Not only that, He chooses to never remember what we have done wrong ever again!
How Good is that!
The only reason God can do this is because of Jesus' death on the cross. (Remember - He's alive again now!)
We need to say sorry for the wrong things we have done and for not doing the things we should have done.
Part of saying sorry is also asking God help you to not do those things again.
Find an eraser.
Either hold it in your hand or use it on a piece of paper.
As you do this, pray
The Prayer:
"Hello God.
As I say sorry for the wrong things I’ve done, I thank you that you have erased those things and chosen to never remember them again.
[Tell God what you need to say sorry for]
I pray that you would help me do those things that please you and choose the right way to be a follower of you.
Amen"
